Over 9,700 Romanians have been approved as beneficiaries in the Rabla Auto 2026 program, which aims to modernize the country's vehicle fleet. Approved applicants have 60 days to scrap their old cars and submit documents to the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM). The program encourages the adoption of less polluting vehicles, with a total budget of 300 million lei. While funds for electric and hybrid vehicles have been exhausted, there is still a budget available for traditional combustion engine vehicles until the end of 2026.
