Ahmed al-Sharaa îi mulțumește lui Donald Trump după eliminarea Siriei de pe lista "statelor care sponsorizează terorismul"
Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for removing Syria from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, a designation it held since 1979. This decision follows an agreement to restore relations in 2025 and a gradual lifting of sanctions. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the measures, highlighting Syria's commitment to combat terrorism. Al-Sharaa, who previously led rebel forces against Bashar al-Assad, visited the White House in 2025, marking a new diplomatic era. Turkey also welcomed the U.S. decision, viewing it as a step towards Syria's reconstruction and economic development.
