The interim Finance Minister highlighted the importance of continued fiscal discipline and investment to maintain this status. S&P noted that while Romania has made progress in fiscal consolidation and fund absorption, risks remain high for the coming years. The agency emphasized the need for a stable government to implement coherent policies, as the outlook remains negative. Maintaining the investment-grade rating is crucial for state financing, especially given the high budget deficit and debt levels.
