A 34-year-old police officer was detained by DIICOT prosecutors for human trafficking and pimping. He allegedly recruited a victim using the 'loverboy' method for sexual exploitation in the UK and Romania. The officer facilitated the victim's prostitution in Romania and profited from the illegal activities. During searches, cash and evidence were seized. A preventive arrest proposal was submitted to the court for 30 days, with support from organized crime police and gendarmes.
