AfD câștigă alegerile din Saxonia-Anhalt cu 43,8%

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) won the regional elections in Saxony-Anhalt with 43.8% of the votes, securing 39 out of 83 parliamentary seats. Despite this significant victory, AfD fell short of an absolute majority needed to govern alone. The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) experienced a major decline, receiving only 17.2%, marking its worst performance in the region. Traditional parties continue to refuse coalition with AfD, complicating future government formation. The high voter turnout of 77.8% included many first-time voters for AfD. Negotiations will determine if AfD can break the political isolation imposed by other parties.
