In the first seven months of 2026, wholesale trade turnover decreased by 0.4% compared to the same period last year. In July, there was an overall increase of 8.7% compared to June, driven by significant growth in agricultural products and telecommunications equipment. However, there were declines in consumer goods and wholesale intermediation activities. Year-on-year, July 2026 saw a 6.9% decrease in wholesale turnover, with notable drops in intermediation and agricultural products. Adjusted figures also reflected a decline of 4.6% compared to July 2025. Overall, the first half of 2026 showed a slight decrease in turnover, with some sectors experiencing growth, particularly in specialized wholesale and consumer goods.
