Afacerile cu aur ale Africii. O țară tocmai și-a deschis o rafinărie care poate procesa anual peste 600 de tone de metale prețioase
Ethiopia has launched a precious metals refinery capable of processing over 600 tons annually, aiming to attract African gold producers and retain more mineral value domestically. The National Precious Metals Refinery, inaugurated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, is located in Addis Ababa's Bole Lemi Special Economic Zone. Built in partnership with Ethiopian Investment Holdings and Dubai's Sam Precious Metals, the facility will refine gold and silver, enhancing local processing and quality control. Ethiopia seeks to serve neighboring countries and provide refining services, potentially increasing its revenue from regional gold production. The challenge lies in securing sufficient metal supply and attracting producers to Addis Ababa.
