Nearly 3,900 companies operate in this sector, with 3,400 currently active. By September 2026, 1,629 firms submitted their financial reports for 2025. The net profit was reported at 711.8 million lei, with a workforce of 17,987 employees. Employee productivity increased significantly, from 285,402 lei per employee in 2008 to 710,764 lei in 2025, marking a 149% growth.
