Bucharest airports will implement drone defense systems to enhance air traffic safety. The National Company Bucharest Airports plans to invest millions in equipment to detect and neutralize unauthorized drones. A market study has been initiated to explore available solutions and costs, with public tenders to follow. The systems must operate continuously, track multiple drones, and differentiate between drones and other objects. Activation of neutralization measures will be restricted to authorized personnel only. The acquisition includes training, maintenance, and software updates.
