Air quality in Rusciori has deteriorated due to a fire at a waste sorting station, with PM10 levels nearing legal limits. Monitoring revealed an average of 47.36 µg/m³, close to the 50 µg/m³ threshold. The highest hourly reading reached 87.57 µg/m³, indicating significant pollution. Comparatively, PM10 levels in Sibiu city were much lower, at 17.59 µg/m³ and 20.76 µg/m³. The Environmental Protection Agency continues to monitor the situation to assess recovery in air quality.
