Adrian Șulcă, eliminat în primul tur la Mondialele de judo de la Baku

Romanian judoka Adrian Şulcă was eliminated in the first round of the 81 kg category at the World Judo Championships in Baku, losing to Montenegro's Jahja Nurkovic. The gold medal was won by Georgia's Tato Grigalaşvili, who defeated Azerbaijan's Zelim Tckaev in the final. Azerbaijan's Omar Rajabli and Serbia's Mihajlo Simin secured bronze medals. Romania is represented by eight judokas, including six men and two women, with several more set to compete in various weight categories. A total of 622 judokas from 93 countries are participating in the event.
