Students entering the eighth grade in September 2026 may face a new high school admission process in 2027, with the National Evaluation remaining central. Some high schools can organize their own entrance exams with two additional tests, but participation is not mandatory for all. Each school can decide whether to hold a competition, filling up to half of their spots through this method. The additional tests will occur after the National Evaluation results, with subjects tailored to the school's profile. The National Evaluation results will still play a crucial role in the overall admission process, and students not participating in the additional tests can still enter the general allocation. Current proposals are still in consultation and may change before final approval.
