Administratorul public al Municipiului Sibiu explică de ce Primăria nu a mai dat bani la FC Hermannstadt: ”Au retrogradat, iar proiectul depus nu mai era eligibil”

Teodor Birț explained that FC Hermannstadt lost funding from the municipality after relegation to Liga 2 due to an ineligible project. The club's project was based on participation in Liga Profesionistă, which was no longer valid after relegation. Despite the municipality's ongoing financial support, the club could not sign the contract due to performance discrepancies. Following audits, significant irregularities were found, leading to a claim for the recovery of over 14 million lei. Birț denied any involvement in the audits and emphasized the importance of the Municipal Stadium for the community.
