Administrația Trump plătește 1,2 miliarde de dolari companiei RWE pentru a renunța la proiectele eoliene offshore din SUA

The Trump administration will pay $1.2 billion to German energy company RWE, which will abandon its offshore wind projects in the U.S. RWE decided to withdraw from its concessions off the coasts of California, Louisiana, and New York Bight due to low prospects for obtaining necessary permits. The company plans to invest the funds into conventional energy projects, including a $900 million LNG export terminal in Louisiana. RWE aims to invest around €17 billion in the U.S. over the next six years to expand its energy production capacity. This agreement aligns with Trump's policy to reduce offshore wind projects and promote fossil fuel investments.
