The Romanian Presidential Administration clarified that a viral image suggesting Nicușor Dan posed with a cardboard cutout of Donald Trump is fake. The photo shared by the Romanian President is genuine, taken by the official White House photographer during a UN event. Initial communications from Cotroceni only fueled social media controversies. The administration explained that the timing of the photo releases by European leaders, including Dan, was due to White House protocol, as only the official photographer had access to the event. The photos were processed and released simultaneously to all participating countries.
