The National Administration of Penitentiaries (ANP) in Romania was targeted by a ransomware cyberattack, leading to the suspension of inmate transfers and court appearances via videoconference. The attack affected multiple workstations and servers, prompting immediate action from the IT team and the National Cyber Security Directorate. Several IT services were halted as a precaution, and inmates can only make limited phone calls. The ANP is working on temporary solutions to maintain inmates' rights while addressing the incident. Meanwhile, the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration is also facing a severe technical incident, disrupting the real estate market.
