The National Administration of Penitentiaries (ANP) reported a ransomware cyber attack affecting multiple workstations and servers. The IT team promptly contacted the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) to mitigate the impact by isolating the affected equipment. ANP and DNSC specialists are working on resolving the issue and investigating the attack, with a complaint to be filed with DIICOT. As a precaution, several ANP services are temporarily suspended, and alternatives for maintaining communication between inmates and their families are being sought. Court presentations will proceed as scheduled, with future sessions conducted via videoconference.
