The new Territorial Planning, Urbanism, and Construction Code aims to ensure integrated urban development in the metropolitan area of Brașov. Mayor George Scripcaru convened local representatives to establish the Integrated Local Advisory Commission, which will oversee development directions across municipalities. This commission replaces individual technical committees and includes representatives from local administrations and utility companies. The goal is to eliminate discrepancies at municipal borders and ensure that new developments meet community needs. The commission will also streamline procedures and provide a comprehensive view of the region's urban planning. The legal framework for these changes was adopted in August as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
