Adio gropi în asfalt? Deșeul din industria siderurgică care ar putea revoluționa drumurile și le-ar face să reziste până la 20 de ani
A new study suggests that steel slag combined with epoxy resin can create durable road pavements, potentially lasting up to 20 years. This mixture, known as SEAM, aims to reduce maintenance frequency and associated emissions. Researchers found that a 35% resin concentration offers the best balance between longevity and cost. The use of industrial waste in road construction could significantly lower CO₂ emissions and improve public health outcomes. The economic benefits are estimated to range from 462 billion to 1.99 trillion euros.
