„Adevărata provocare începe după apus”. Canicula a crescut producția de energie solară în Europa cu până la 17%. Soluția pentru seară
Solar energy significantly supported Europe's power grids during this summer's heatwaves, with production increasing by up to 17% during peak demand. The International Energy Agency noted that cooling systems accounted for about 7% of global electricity consumption in 2022. While solar energy production rose, reliance on gas plants increased after sunset, leading to higher electricity prices. Severe droughts also impacted other energy sources, causing nuclear plants in Romania and Hungary to reduce output. Experts suggest that energy storage systems, like batteries, could help manage evening demand by storing excess solar energy produced during the day.
