The partnership agreement aims to establish Cluj as a reference center for innovation and technology transfer. The hub will include essential functions such as a FabLab for prototyping, a business incubator for startups, and services for connecting academia with companies. The project will be funded by European funds and aims to revitalize the Clujana site, enhancing Cluj's position as a leading regional development center in Romania. Clujana, once a major shoe factory, has a rich history dating back to 1911 but ceased operations in 2022.
