Activele fondurilor de pensii private obligatorii au crescut cu 39% în iulie

As of July 2026, mandatory private pension funds in Romania held assets worth 246.8 billion lei, marking a 39% increase from the previous year. The majority of investments, 95%, were in Romanian assets, primarily in lei, including government bonds and stocks listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Contributions collected in July amounted to 2.01 billion lei, with an average contribution of 437 lei. Government bonds represented the largest share of assets at 152.09 billion lei (61.6%), followed by stocks at 75.51 billion lei (30.6%). The total number of participants in these pension funds exceeded 8.5 million, reaching 8,553,656.
