On September 24, 2026, the Romanian Government approved several normative acts, including the modernization of the Apahida-Suceava railway line and the implementation of an electronic road toll system. The railway project, costing 10.49 billion lei, aims to enhance infrastructure and improve train speeds over 106.82 km. Funding will come from EU grants and the state budget. The electronic toll system's second phase involves installing 250 control devices, with a total budget exceeding 132 million lei, also financed by EU funds. Additionally, the government allocated funds for compensations related to expropriations for the Târgu Mureș-Târgu Neamț highway and the Rădăuți bypass, ensuring fair compensation for affected property owners.
