Acordul România-SUA privind securitatea socială a intrat în vigoare. Schimbare majoră pentru pensiile românilor

The interim Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Țoiu, announced that the social security agreement between Romania and the USA is now in effect. This agreement recognizes work years of Romanians in the USA, including those before 1989, allowing them to receive pensions in Romania. It also applies to American citizens retiring in Romania. The agreement facilitates pension rights by combining work periods in both countries, eliminates double taxation for independent workers, and enhances business mobility between Romania and the USA. Oana Țoiu emphasized the importance of this agreement for strengthening bilateral relations and supporting communities.
