Acordarea voucherului pentru femei gravide ar putea fi abrogată de CGMB

The Bucharest General Council will discuss a project to abolish the financial incentive for pregnant women, known as the Materna Voucher. This program, established in 2018, provides financial support for medical expenses. The proposed changes will not affect rights established before the new decision. The program incurs annual costs of approximately 24 million lei, which are deemed unsustainable under current budget constraints. It is noted that prenatal medical services are already provided for free through the national health insurance system, making the voucher redundant.
