Acoperișuri verzi și parcări ecologice, noi reguli pentru construcțiile din România. Ce schimbări aduce Codul Urbanismului
New real estate developments in Romania will face stricter regulations to adapt to climate change, including green roofs and permeable parking areas. Starting January 1, 2027, office buildings and large parking lots must have green roofs covering at least 50% of their area. The aim is to reduce urban heat islands and improve air quality. Parking lots over 500 square meters will also need sustainable drainage solutions and shading systems, with at least 30% of the area designed accordingly. Local authorities are required to establish low-emission zones within 12 months, with exceptions for heritage sites or technical limitations. These regulations were adopted by the Parliament and will take effect this week, with some obligations starting in 2027.
