Italian company Bending Spoons has announced the acquisition of online collaboration platform Miro for $1.355 billion. This deal values Miro at $1.79 billion, including net cash. Some Miro shareholders will invest $295 million in newly issued Bending Spoons shares. The current sale price is significantly lower than Miro's valuation of $17.5 billion in January 2022, following a $400 million investment from major U.S. funds. Founded in 2011, Miro has become a key tool for global teams, boasting nearly 4 million paying users. Bending Spoons plans to invest heavily in Miro's core features post-acquisition, aiming for long-term growth.
