The Ministry of Health has canceled the ongoing procurement process for the BCG vaccine due to a pricing error by the supplier. A new procurement for 100,000 doses will be initiated soon to ensure the vaccination program runs smoothly. Existing doses will be distributed from local health directorates to meet immediate needs. The Ministry encourages healthcare providers to schedule vaccinations for unvaccinated children to ensure an organized recovery process. Efforts are underway to expedite the resumption of BCG vaccine procurement, with 36,200 doses still available in stock as of early September.
