The reduced excise rate is set at 2,103.22 lei per 1,000 liters, compared to the standard rate of 2,804.29 lei. The theoretical savings for drivers filling a 50-liter tank could reach approximately 42.40 lei, while larger tanks could see even greater savings. However, the final price at gas stations may not reflect this reduction directly due to various factors, including distribution costs and market conditions. After October 31, 2026, any continuation of the reduced rate would require new legislation, and a return to standard rates could impact fuel prices significantly.
