The Ministry of Finance extends the 25% reduction in diesel excise until the end of September 2026, following a biweekly evaluation. This measure aims to mitigate the impact of rising fuel costs on consumers and the economy, particularly in transport and logistics sectors. The effective excise for standard diesel will be 2,103.22 lei per 1,000 liters during this period. The decision is based on international price trends and domestic pump prices, which have seen significant increases recently. The ministry will continue to monitor these developments biweekly.
