A serious traffic accident occurred on DN 56A in Șimian, Mehedinți, involving a car and a truck, resulting in one fatality. Emergency teams from Drobeta-Turnu Severin were dispatched, including firefighters and an ambulance. A man was trapped in the vehicle and was rescued but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries despite resuscitation efforts. The exact circumstances of the collision are under investigation.
