A 55-year-old man from Neamț County died after being hit by a passenger train while picking walnuts in Roman. The accident occurred when he failed to hear the train's warning signals. Emergency services were alerted around 3:40 PM, and upon arrival, they found the man without vital signs. Police investigations indicate that the victim was engaged in walnut gathering at the time of the incident and did not notice the approaching train.
