A tragic workplace accident in Portugal resulted in the deaths of three Romanian workers, two brothers aged 21 and 24, and their 40-year-old uncle. They were performing maintenance work on a water tank in Algarve when they were likely exposed to toxic gases. Emergency services found three workers unconscious inside the tank, and despite resuscitation efforts, they could not be saved. Three other workers received medical attention but declined hospitalization. The incident is under investigation to determine the source of the toxic substances. Family members of the victims, who were from Maramureș, received psychological support following the tragedy.
