Starting Monday, traffic on the A1 highway between Sibiu and Boiţa will be closed for the construction of the Sibiu-Piteşti highway. The closure is set to last until December 19, 2026, as the Turkish construction consortium Mapa-Cengiz begins work on a bridge over the road connection to DN7. This bridge is part of a junction that will link A13 and A1 near Boiţa. The construction requires a complete traffic halt to ensure safety during the works. During this period, traffic will be redirected to DN7 and DN1.
