A section of the A0 Nord highway, built by Retter, is ready but cannot be used due to lack of connection to existing roads. The connection work is assigned to Porr Construct and is expected to be completed by December. If delays occur, drivers may wait until April or May to use the new highway section. Retter finished its work six months early, but the necessary infrastructure for traffic discharge is not yet available. Retter proposed a temporary discharge solution, which was rejected by CNAIR, who stated the section is not finalized. The overall project is over 82% complete, but some areas are less advanced. The contract for the project was signed on September 22, 2023, with a value exceeding one billion lei.
