A third of Romanians say their life has worsened, cite financial pressure as main obstacle (survey)

A significant portion of Romanians feel their quality of life has declined, primarily due to financial pressures from low incomes and rising costs. The Well-Being Perception Index dropped to 6.2 out of 10, with 55% reporting worse well-being. Satisfaction with personal income and housing affordability has notably decreased. Financial issues are now seen as the main barrier to a better life, surpassing concerns about corruption. Nearly a third of respondents believe their quality of life worsened over the past year, while only 18% feel it improved. The findings highlight the impact of financial security on overall well-being, emphasizing the need for stability to access essential services.
