A șasea noapte de proteste în fața Arestului Central, unde este închis Călin Georgescu
Around 2,000 people protested for the sixth consecutive night in front of the Central Arrest in Bucharest against the detention of Călin Georgescu. The number of supporters is increasing daily, with demonstrators chanting slogans in support of Georgescu. Protests also occurred in the Romanian diaspora, particularly in Rome, where hundreds expressed their discontent with the Romanian government. AUR leader George Simion encouraged supporters to join the protests and announced a rally in Brussels. Georgescu and businessman Ionel Rusen were placed in preventive detention for 30 days due to allegations of fraud involving 1.1 million euros.
