Nicolae Ungureanu, a legendary footballer of Universitatea Craiova, passed away at 69, leaving a significant legacy in Romanian football. He played for Craiova from 1977 to 1987, winning two Romanian championships. He also had a five-year stint at Steaua, where he won two more titles and a Romanian Cup. His contributions to the national team included 57 appearances. Both clubs expressed their condolences and honored his memory.
