Adela Mărculescu, a renowned Romanian actress, passed away at 88, leaving behind a legacy of over six decades in theater. She graduated from the Institute of Theatrical Art in 1959 and joined the National Theatre in 1964, where she performed iconic roles. Her portrayal of Clytemnestra in 'Electra' gained international acclaim. Mărculescu also had a significant film career and received numerous accolades, including the Order of Cultural Merit. Public farewell will be held at St. George's Church in Bucharest, with burial on July 25 at Bellu Cemetery.
