Dumitru Caraman, a former striker for Farul Constanța, has passed away, as announced by the club. Born on December 22, 1944, in Mihail Kogălniceanu, he played for Farul in two stints, from 1965 to 1966 and 1970 to 1975, making over 150 appearances and scoring 33 goals. He debuted in Divizia A on September 26, 1965, and was part of Farul's successful 'golden generation'. After his time at Farul, he played for FC Brăila and remained involved in football as a coach. Caraman was honored as an honorary citizen of his hometown in 2022, and the local stadium bears his name. His family continues his football legacy, with his son and grandson also pursuing careers in the sport.
