Mihai Petrilă, previously a seasonal worker in Italy, now runs a successful gelato business in Iași, generating €40,000 in monthly sales. After 17 years of planning and investment, he and his wife Raluca opened the artisanal gelateria, inspired by their Italian experiences. They invested €120,000, overcoming initial funding challenges through loans and family support. Since opening in August 2025, they have expanded their offerings from 16 to over 60 unique recipes, incorporating high-quality ingredients like Bronte pistachios and family-grown fruits.
