The modernization project for Calea Șurii Mici in Sibiu has been halted after the municipality canceled the tender due to non-compliant bids. Despite receiving ten offers, none met the required standards, leading to the decision after a lengthy evaluation process. The project aimed to create a mobility corridor with six lanes, including two for public transport, but will remain on hold until a new tender is organized. Currently, the road has two lanes, with no sidewalks or bike paths, causing traffic congestion during peak hours.
