Parliament has initiated the voting procedure for the government led by Luca Niculescu after intense debates. Political leaders exchanged harsh criticisms, with Sorin Grindeanu welcoming the departure of the previous government and attacking PNL and USR. Ilie Bolojan accused PSD and AUR of causing the political crisis and announced PNL's support for the new cabinet. AUR, USR, and SOS declared they would not support the government. George Simion from AUR urged PNL members to vote against the cabinet, claiming it would perpetuate harmful economic policies. The new government needs at least 233 votes to gain confidence, with UDMR offering conditional support. Niculescu emphasized the urgency of addressing Romania's economic and political crises in his speech.
