The National Political Council of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) met to discuss the political situation after the National Liberal Party (PNL) expressed support for the new government led by Luca Niculescu. PNL confirmed it would not join a coalition with PSD, opting to remain in opposition. The meeting followed a warning from President Nicușor Dan about potential parliamentary dissolution if no agreement was reached. PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu noted a constructive dialogue with Niculescu but emphasized that support for the new government depends on the inclusion of PSD's proposals in the governance program.
