A început scufundarea primei barje pentru devierea apei pe Dunăre spre Cernavodă. Operațiunea durează 3-4 ore
The controlled flooding of the first barge on the Danube has begun to redirect water towards the Cernavodă nuclear power plant. This operation, which involves submerging barges filled with stone, aims to increase water levels at the plant amid low river flow. Each flooding operation is expected to take 3-4 hours, with four barges planned for deployment. Current river levels remain critically low, impacting operations at Cernavodă, which may only function for a few more days without intervention. Hydrologists predict a slight increase in river flow in the coming week, but levels will still be below average.
