A început operaţiunea de scufundare a celor patru barje, în Dunăre, pentru creşterea debitului apei

The National Administration Apele Române has initiated the controlled sinking of four barges in the Danube to increase water flow to the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. This emergency measure aims to prevent a forced shutdown of Reactor 2 due to critically low water levels. Artificial thresholds will redirect water flow, ensuring optimal cooling for the nuclear reactors. The operation is a response to extreme drought affecting the Danube's flow, which has endangered the plant's operation. The military has also been involved in stabilizing water levels by destroying a massive rock in the area.
