After three days of protests outside the Central Arrest on George Georgescu Street, around 50 supporters of Călin Georgescu continue to demonstrate against his preventive arrest. The protesters, some of whom have slept outside, are enjoying the sunny weather on the fourth day of their rally. The Jandarmeria București issued 32 fines totaling 37,900 lei for violations related to public assembly laws. Georgescu was arrested on September 29 for allegedly forming an organized criminal group and committing serious fraud. He was taken from his home to the Central Arrest, where he was met by supporters, but police prevented him from raising his handcuffed hands in a gesture of defiance.
