The Buzău County Museum has resumed archaeological research at the Pietroasa Mică site, aiming to enhance knowledge about ancient communities despite funding challenges. The site, known for its historical significance, has revealed artifacts from the Bronze Age to the Dacian period. Modern research methods are being employed to further explore and preserve the area, which has potential for cultural tourism. However, the site faces risks from natural erosion and human activities, necessitating ongoing monitoring and conservation efforts. The current campaign is funded modestly, highlighting the need for increased investment in archaeological research in Romania.
