A fost concediat după ce a jucat fotbal în concediu medical. Angajatorul va trebui acum să-i plătească despăgubiri de 72.000 de euro

A 50-year-old Italian man was fired after playing indoor football during medical leave for multiple sclerosis. His employer, after hiring a private investigator, deemed his activities grounds for dismissal. However, the court ruled in his favor, stating that playing sports did not hinder his recovery. The company was ordered to pay him €72,000 in damages. The court emphasized that engaging in sports during medical leave is only grounds for dismissal if it contradicts the employee's health condition. The man had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and anxiety, and doctors encouraged him to maintain social connections and activities that promote well-being. He quickly found new employment and continues to play football.
