„A fost cel mai scump an din istorie” / Certificatele de poluare au costat Colterm Timișoara aproape 95 de milioane de lei
Cristian Amza, the special administrator of Colterm Timișoara, reported significant financial challenges due to the necessity of purchasing pollution certificates that were expected to be provided for free. This situation led to additional costs of around 2.5 million euros, marking the most expensive year in the company's history regarding these expenses. The high prices of certificates were influenced by historical peaks and the temporary return of coal-fired power plants in the national energy system. Over the past five years, Colterm has spent more than 65 million euros on green certificates.
